JO MP Bandula Gunawardene addressing the media in Colombo said,  that if the minister had facts to prove that Rs.5000 notes were given to those attended the election rallies by the previous regime prior to the last Presidential poll, he should come out with them.
The Joint Opposition (JO) yesterday challenged Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake to prove a comment that he made alleging that the previous government removed Rs. 13 bn in Rs. 5,000 currency notes from the Central bank on the eve of January 2015 presidential poll.
“Karunanayake should not make such irresponsible statements without facts.
