Presidential Commission Investigate Misuse of State Funds

To carry out three welfare projects, previous Government  has allocated considerable  funds. Out of this funds   Rs 4.3 million had been given to a private firm  to spend  on the Local Government Election . This has been brought to the notice of the  Presidential Commission  of inquiry on bribery and corruption.

The Commission  has launched a special investigation into the misuse of state funds provided by the previous Government  on these 3 projects.

A  spokesman of the Commission said the Commission will convene on the 20th of January to look into the matter.
