Police Commission Chairman Resigns to Accept a Professor Chair at a German Uni.

Chairman of the National Police Commission Prof. Siri Hettige has sent his  resignation letter  to Speaker Karu Jayasuriya , who chaired the Constitutional Council about 10 days ago. However,  the Constitutional Council  has not responded on this matter yet. He is the Chair of Sri Lankan Studies, South Asia Institute, University of Heidelberg, Germany. He is also Professor Emeritus at the University of Colombo
