Delimitation Committee Recommended Increase in Number of MP’s & Councillors

Delimitation Committee has recommended  to increase the number of Members of Parliament  from 225 to 245 and Local Government Councillors from 4250  to 8500.

Minister of  Local Government  Vajira Abeywardena observed,  100% increase  of  Local Government   Councillors  may  create problem in future.
