Land Gazetted As Forest Reserve in Willpattu Should be Released Immediately

Leader of the National Unity Front, Azad Salley  visited  villages  coming under the lands declared as Wilpattu National Park reserve through a  gazette notification  recently. After his visit and talking to the villages he appealed  to the Government  to release the lands belong to  villages.

A group of residents is currently on a hunger strike in protest of the Gazette announcement made a few days ago, declaring the combination of the areas Mavillu, Weppal, Marichchikaddi, Karadikkuli, Vilaththikulam and Periyamurippu to form a reserve.
