UNP MP Chaminda Wijeysiri’s Viel Threat to Badulla Municipal Commissioner

UNP Parliamentarian Chaminda Wijesiri had stormed into the office of  Municipal Commissioner of Badulla and blamed him of  working closely with the Provincial Chief Minister.

Uva Provincial Chief Minister Chamara Sampath Dassanayake represents the United People’s Freedom Alliance.

Before entering the Commissioner’s office, the UNP MP held a press conference and criticized the conduct of the Chief Minister. He alleged that Chief Minister Dassanayake had amassed wealth illegally, after entering politics.

The UNP MP accused the Municipal Commissioner of corruption and said he had evidence to prove the official’s alleged misconduct.

“Only I can protect you from those cases of corruption, not the Chief Minister,” the UNP MP told the Commissioner.
