No Bail to Pillaiyan

Former Eastern Province Chief Minister Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan alias Pillaiyan, who was arrested in connection with the alleged assassination of MP Joseph Pararajasingham, was further remanded till  28^th April 2017 by the Batticaloa Magistrate’s Court today. The Colombo Crime Division arrested Pillaiyan on October 09, 2015 in connection with the murder of the MP during a Christmas prayer service at the St. Mary’s Cathedral in Batticaloa on December 25, 2005.
