Legal Land Ownership From Army to Civilians

Followed by a  high level discussion held yesterday with the Defence Secretary ,  Army Commander and other relevant   Government officials regarding  legal transfer of  private lands  that are now held by the Army , the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) stated,  that a plan of action has been executed to transfer the ownership of land in the North and East of the country from the army to the civilians.

TNA  MP M.A. Sumanthiran stated,  that discussions have already taken place between officials for this transfer to take place.  He further added that district level discussions on the matter will be held in the next couple of days .

Leader of the Opposition cum TNA Leader  R.Sampanthan  participated in this discussion.
