Galle Face Road Beyond the Lotus Roundabout Closed

The protest was organized by the Medical Students’ Parents’ Association. The section of the Colombo Galle Face Road beyond the Lotus Roundabout has been closed off on account of a protest walk against SAITM.

A traffic congestion has been reported in this area. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes.

In the meantime, the participants of a protest  have been dispersed using  tear gas and high-pressure water canons near the flyover in the proximity of the Lotus Roundabout.
