More Flood Warning

More flood warning has been issued by the Disaster Management Center (DMC) in respect of following areas:

1. People who are living along banks of Kalu Ganga in Ratnapura, Elapatha, Pelmadulla, Kuruvita, Kiriella and Ayagama to take measures from possible major floods.

2. People residing along the banks of Kalu Ganga in Ingiriya, Bulathsinhala, Palinda-Nuwara, Millaniya and Padukka are also advised to take measures from possible major floods.

3. The DMC also advises people living along the banks of the Kelani River in Kolonnawa, Biyagama, Kelaniya, Kaduwela, Dompe, Hanwella, Padukka and Avissawella to take measures from possible minor floods.

4. Meanwhile , the Matara government agent has requested the people living in the lower levels of the Nilwala River inner dam area such as Kokduwa, Malimbada and Akuressa to evacuate soon.
