Stop Arrest of University Students or Face Strike Teachers Unions Threatens

Police has arrested University student leaders, who had forcibly entered the Health  Ministry recently while protesting against SAITM. By checking the CCTV fixed in the Health Ministry Police has identified more students and looking for their arrest.

While this is the situation,addressing the media yesterday, representatives of five teachers’ unions insisted that the government must stop the police  witch hunt to arrest University students forthwith.

Teachers’ unions  have warned that they will launch an island wide strike, if the government continues to arrest university students.Teachers unions justified the actions of the University students.
