Nalaka Godahewa and Two Others Granted Bail
Former Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission,Godahewa was arrested by the Financial Crimes Investigations Division (FCID) last month after he went to make a statement. He was arrested over allegations of financial irregularities said to have taken place at the Securities and Exchange Commission,when he was the Chairman.He was in remand prison.Nalaka Godahewa and two others were released on bail today (Thursday 21st) by the Colombo High Court.
