The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) has submitted a report to the National Police Commission on the incident involving the use of force against university students
During an anti-SAITM protest, where university students have forcibly entered the Health ministry Building and caused damage to it, police was compelled to use required minimum force to eject them from the building, said Police spokesman . In the melee 80 students got injured and admitted to the hospital.
There was wide spread condemnation against the police for using excessive force. The National Police Commission has called for a report from the IGP.
The IGP in turn has submitted a report to the NPC , which was confirmed by the Secretary to the NPC. He stated that the report would be examined by the Commission on Thursday (06).
