Gota Signs an Affidavit to Give Evidence Against Two High Ranking Army Officers.

Presidential Commission investigating alleged acts of Fraud Corruption, Abuse of Power, State Resources and privileges (PRECIFAC) is conducting investigations into an alleged multi million rupee mass scale fraud involving the cutting and removal of iron from machinery  of the Kankesanthurai Cement factory located  in the High Security Zone during the previous Regime.
Earlier, former Additional Defence Secretary Siripala Hettiarachchi in a statement to the commission (PRECIFAC) had said, that he made a written note approving the removal of the stock of iron from the cement factory following specific instructions given by  then defence secretary, Gotabhaya Rajapaksa. In addition, former Army Commander  and another Army officer gave evidence  in this connection before the Commission earlier.
Consequent to this, former Defence Secretary, Gotabaya Rajapakshe was summoned by the Commisssion yesterday to record his evidence. He appeared before the commission yesterday and signed an affidavit to give evidence against two former  Senior Army officers, including the former Army Commander.
