Electronic  Voting  System Introduced in Parliament

First time in the history of Srilankan Parliament, electronic voting system was introduced yesterday (25). When the voting  for the Foreign Exchange Bill was called , members utilized electronic voting system  and voted . Ninety six (96) members voted in favour of the bill while 18 voted against it.

President Maithripala Sirisena was also present in parliament during debate and vote on the Foreign Exchange draft bill.
