Weather Forecast For 28th July 2017

A slight change in the prevailing weather in the South western part and in the Eastern and Uva provinces are expected.

Showers will occur at times in the Western, Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Eastern (particularly in the Trincomalee district), Uva and North-central provinces and in the Vauniya andMullaitivu districts.

Fairly heavy falls (about 75 mm) can be expected at some places particularly in the Kalutara, Galle,Rathnapura, Kegalle, TrincomaleeVauniya and Mullaitivudistricts.

Fairly strong winds about 40-50 kmph can be expected in the Western and Southern provinces and in the Matale district.

(There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.)
