Gammanpila  Demands Election Commission to Resign

As the Chairman  and member of the  Election Commission is aiding and abetting the Government in its effort to postpone election, they should resign from the Commission Immediately , Udaya Gammanpila said yesterday . After publishing delimitation of electorate in gazette in the year 2015, when there is possibility of conducting election, small election was postponed with the  tacit support of the Election Commission, he charged.

If the Chairman of the Election Commission think that postponing election on the ground pending consideration  of appeal on delimitation is legal,  I am prepared  to enter into a debate with him, said Gammanpila.
