Possibility for afternoon thundershowers likely to enhancefrom 10^thof October.

Several spells of showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-western and Central provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere (particularly in the Eastern and Uva provinces and in Vauniya and Mullathiu districts) after 2.00pm.

Fairly heavy showers (about 50mm) can be expected at some places particularly in the Eastern and Uva provinces and in Rathnapura district.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
