Weather Forecast For 20th October 2017

A slight enhancement of prevailing showery conditionin the south-western part of the country is expected today.

Fairly strong winds can be expected over the island. Showers or thundershowers at times are expected in the Western, Sabaragamuwa,Central and North-Westernprovinces and in the Galle and Matara districts. Heavy falls (above 100mm) can be expected at some places.

Several spells of showers will occur in the Northern province and in the Anuradhapura and Hambantota districts.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places elsewhere after 2.00 pm.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
