Rajitha & Kiriella to be Taken to Court by GMOA

The GMOA said today it would take legal action against Health Minister Rajitha Senaratne, Higher Education Minister Lakshman Kiriella and others who have allegedly misused public funds.

In a press conference held yesterday, the GMOA told a media conference that the Ministers, Rajitha and Laksman Kiriella had resorted to submit supplementary estimates to pump in millions of rupees to the Neville Fernando Teaching Hospital (NFTH). GMOA’s spokesman Prasad Kollambage said, this matter was taken up with the Bribery Commission earlier and a complaint would now be lodged with the FCID

In the meantime, the GMOA has written to President Maithripala Sirisena to consider the request made by the Mahanaayaka Theras with regard to the SAITM issue in arriving at a final decision. It said that it was eagerly waiting for the President’s decision on the SAITM.
