The Interim Report was tabled in the Constitutional Assembly on 21st September by the Steering Committee Chairman and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Parliament will sit as the Constitutional Assembly today to commence a three-day debate on the Interim Report of the Steering Committee that includes proposals for a new Constitution.
The debate will be held from 10.30 am to 6.30 pm on all three days. This is the sixth meeting of the Constitutional Assembly.
