Parliament Approves Declaration of Railway Service As Essential Service by President

Parliament today  approved the declaration made by the President Maithripala Sirisena  that  the Railway services as an essential service with the majority of 43  votes.

While 51 voted in favour of the declaration, eight voted against it.
