Strike Action by CEB Trade Union Suspended

The suspension of six workers involved in a trade union action has forced the CEB trade union to resort to trade union action.

Followed by this, the Ceylon Electricity Workers Union is scheduled an island-wide strike today.

The convenor of the organization Ranjan Jayalal said, the CEB trade union has considered the current situation in the country and temporarily suspended the scheduled strike action today.

However, trade union action will be taken in future said, Ranjan Jayalal.
