CAA Files Cases Against Over 1000 Traders

Consumer Affairs Authority has taken steps to file cases against 1997 traders, who violated provisions in the consumer affairs act.
The Chairman of the Consumer Affairs Authority  Hasitha Tillekeratne said, during festive season as from 6th April raids were made on more than 3,500 trade centers. During the raids done special attention was given to essential consumer items for which maximum retail price (MRP) was fixed by the government.
