Water Board Trade Union Strike Called Off.

The two weeks trade union action launched by the Joint Trade Union Alliance of the National Water Supply and Drainage Board has been called off.

Convenor of the Joint Trade Union Engineer Upali Ratnayake said the decision was made following yesterday’s successful discussions held at the Parliamentary Complex with officials. The Convenor said an acceptable solution was provided over their demands.

The Joint Trade Union Alliance of the NWSDB said all employees engaged in the trade union action reported to work from last night.
