Vehicle Used in Matara Jewellery Robbery Found…

A motor vehicle used for the Matara jewellery robbery has been found and taken into police custody early this morning (2).

Police Media Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said, that one person was arrested with this vehicle in Thalagala, Bhavana Road in Moragahahena area.

The white Alto car holding the registration number plate No. CAE 4706, allegedly used for the robbery, had been investigated by the police.

 It revealed that the vehicle has been registered under a woman’s name.

Police is conducting further investigations.
