(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO) – On the apparent southward relative motion of the sun, it is going to be directly over the latitudes of Sri Lanka during 28 August to 07 September, the Department of Meteorology said.
The nearest towns of Sri Lanka over which the sun is overhead today (03) are Merawala, Kadigamuwa, Galgamuwa, Ridigama, Pussella, Kudavila, and Pulukunuwa about 12.09 noon.
Mainly fair weather over the island. However, there is a small possibility for showers or thundershowers at a few places in the Eastern and Uva Provinces and in Mullaitivu and Vauniya Districts after 2.00 PM.
