(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO) – Generating electricity has not been affected in spite of a possible oil deposit near the bund of the Castlereigh Reservoir, the Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy stated.
The Ministry earlier noted that the Nuwara Eliya Unit of the Central Environmental Authority (CEA) has been informed about a possible oil leakage into the Castlereigh Reservoir, and the CEA has launched an investigation into the matter.
