(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO) – The State Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Rural Economic Affairs, Ameer Ali Shihabdeen on Wednesday (22) stated that the Motion of No-Confidence moved by the Opposition against Minister Rishad Bathiudeen is against the entire Muslim community in the country.
The Minister speaking in Parliament pointed out that if Minister Bathiudeen crossed over to the Opposition during the 52-day Unconstitutional Government in October last year, the circumstances would have been different.
“Muslim Leaders, Religious Leaders have cooperated with the Military Forces. Nobody spoke about them,” Minister Ali said, adding it was the media that created all sorts of relationships between the suicide bombers and Minister Bathiudeen.”
