Thirty-five candidates submits nominations; Two objections rejected

(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – Thirty-five candidates have submitted their nominations to contest the forthcoming Presidential Election, the Chairman of the Election Commission Mahinda Deshapriya stated.

However, 41 candidates placed deposits to the Commission.

Meanwhile, 2 objections submitted to the Elections Commission over the nominations have been rejected by the Commission.

The accepting of nominations for the Election commenced at 9.00 and concluded at 11.00 at the Elections Commission this morning (07).
