A Twenty-two-year-old young mother, who delivered a baby at Hambantota Hospital, has tried to commit suicide by jumping off from the second floor today morning.
The victim is identified as a Twenty-two-year-old young mother a resident of Suriyawewa area, and is currently receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit(ICU).
The victim has delivered a baby boy couple of days ago, and she was receiving treatment at Hambantota Hospital.
Police Media Spokesperson Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ruwan Gunasekera stated the motive behind the suicide attempt is to be investigated.
