Leader of the Opposition extends condolences on Mangala’s departure
(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – Former Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera, who was tested positive for Covid-19, passed away. His demise was confirmed today (24).
Extending condolences on the former minister’s departure, Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa made a Twitter remark saying that Mangala was a person of the age in Sri Lankan politics who respected humanity and was committed to the philosophy he believed in in accordance with his conscience.
“Dear Mangala Samaraweera, you were a man of the age who respected humanity and was committed to the vision you believed in according to your conscience. May you attain Nibbana!” Premadasa stated.
