In an interview given to the press, Chairman of Avant Garde Nissanka Senadhipathi said that Ministers continue to ask for money from him for various purposes. During the last General Election Minister Champika Ranawakka asked for money for the election expenses. But I didn’t give. But on the other hand I spent money for his political enemy Udayan Gammanpila for election. Hence, he developed a grudge against me.
Avant Garde provided security free of charge to the Roller Ship owned by the former Minister of Fisheries of the previous regime, Rajitha Senaratne. He wanted me to appoint his supporters in Awant Garde. I refused to make appointment of his supporters. Hence he wants to take revenge against me . However, I have given monies to him through cheques. I can provide details of cheques including cheque numbers.
Minister Arjuna Ranatunga too asked for money. But I denied. hence, he too is angry with me.
All these three Ministers didn’t get expected money from me in the past. Due to these reasons, they are all out to discredit and block operations of Avant Garde. Because of these reasons Avant Garde is blocked now.
