Dr. Sisira Kodagoda said that the national Council for Road Safety has made it compulsory for motorcycle riders to wear a newly introduced helmet from 1st September 2016.
The new high quality helmet is imported from Indonesia to tackle the rising number of fatal crashes involving motorbikes.
