Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe informed at Parliament on yesterday 3.Nov.2015 .That the Cabinet has approved the proposed Right to Information Bill (RTI).
The RTI will be an act provide for the right to information; specify grounds on which access may be denied.
The establishment of the Right to Information Commission; the appointment of Information Officers; setting out the procedure for obtaining official information and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto will be done later.
