This real story is a good lesson for all husbands who saves or maintain secret money without knowing to their wives. A German couple was leading a hand to mouth life. What they earn per day is sufficient for their survival. They don’t have enough DM currency to spend for festivities. Husband thought at the beginning of the year to save at least a few DM per day out of his daily earning to celebrate Christmas at the end of the year. But he faced a problem as to where he could keep this savings without his wife’s eye sight. If she happens to see this, definitely she would spend. So he has chosen a discarded old bag in the store room to be his till.Closer to the Christmas, he was telling his wife that this Christmas is going to be different one to us thinking to spend his savings. He wanted to buy surprise gifts to his wife and went to Super Markets. On the eve of Christmas, as usual wife started cleaning the building and premises. She went to the store room and bundled all unwanted things there. This savings bag too got into the bundle. Municipal Authorities who collect refuse collected all and took to the furnace to burn it. Tucks with refuse were in queue to take their turn.In the meantime, husband identified expensive gifts in departmental stores and went back home with the hope of buying it on the next day. He wanted to check the total amount saved. To his surprise he found the store room cleaned and his saving old bag disappeared. He was in real shock and related the whole episode to his wife. She explained what happened. The couple didn’t waste time. They contacted the local police and informed. Police acted immediately. They went to the place where furnace burn refuses. The couple too went there in no time. There they found Truck queue reduced to only two vehicles in the waiting list. Most of the Trucks which collected refuse in their area unloaded refuses and burnt. They were double shocked. No words can describe their mental agony. Police persuaded to check refuses in two Trucks. They checked one by one and found the old back with his savings intact. They were over enjoyed. Real Christmas really began on the previous day they found their hard earned money.
