Temporary Halt to VAT and NBT Tax Increases

Budget proposed  revised Value-Added Tax (VAT) and Nation Building Tax (NBT) will be implemented only after Parliament approval. Hence, until approval is obtained new taxes will not be imposed, Ministry of Finance release revealed.
