President Invites Refugees BUT Police Arrest them at BIA

The President and the Srilanka Government invited Journalists, Professionals and others to return to the country and enjoy the benefits of Good Governance.

Sasikaran Punniyamoorthy from Batticaloa a, Journalist to escape from white van syndrome, migrated to Australia by boat 4 years ago during the period of previous government. At that time possibility of taking visa and going through BIA is a herculean task. Hence, he has chosen boat travel, he said.

In this connection, Lawyer Senaka Perera said that the circumstances under which he left the country should be considered. He invited International Human Rights Commission to intervene   in this matter.
