Open University of Sri Lanka, in the Indefinite Strike

The Open University of Srilanka non-academic staff said that they  continue their trade union activities until they get the  suitable solution. Nawala Open University non-academic staff  start the indefinite strike from yesterday evening. Due to pressure of the Open University Students Strike launched.

Deputy Chairman of the Trade Union Federation, M.M. Vijithasena said, university non-academic staff boycotted from all duties.

He point out some Open University students are  in  continuous conflicts with non-academic staff and they disturb  their security duties and Students were causing difficulties in various ways.

The strike will continue until get a suitable solution, he said.
