Tight Security at Colombo Remand Prison

Following the imprisonment of the Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary, Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thero, the main entrances at Colombo Remand Prison and Welikada Prison have  been closed.

There was commotion in the Homagama Court premises, while he was taken to the prison vehicle. Around 50 monks and 200 supporters tried to prevent him from taken to the prison. STF was called and they manage to control the crowd.
