During Mahinda’s Regime Defence Ministry Funded a Communal based Extremist Group?

State Intelligence Division reported to have disclosed, that a Communal based Extremist Group had been funded with funds from the secret account maintained by the defense Ministry. This was revealed in a discussion held recently between Ministry higher ups and State Intelligence division officers, on what precautionary steps that should be taken to curtail spreading communalistic propaganda carried out by extremist groups aided and abetted by certain politicians. This extremist group had killed two persons and caused damage to property at Beruwela during the year 2014. Investigation report in this connection said to have been sent to the Attorney General’s Department for advice. In the meantime,this extremist group organized a vehicle procession recently and participants said to have been treated with tea and short eats at UPFA MP, Pavithra Wanniarachhchi’s residence at Palmadulla.
