Special traffic arrangements have been made today in connection with the Independence Day in the City of Colombo, Police said.
In Galle Road from 5 am to 12 noon today, special traffic arrangements are made from Galle Face roundabout to the Old Parliament roundabout roads and, Saithiya road area police spokesman, Ruwan Gunasekera said.
Today from 7 am to 12 noon only passengers transporting bus and residents of that area From Triple Junction Kollupitiya to Galle Face roundabout have been allowed .
Only residents were allowed to go to Galle road through Kolpitty Holy Micheal roundabout and Rotunda roundabout.Between 9am and 12am today only official vehicles will be allowed to travel in old Parliament complex through ceramic junction to lotus roadTo go to Bank Street through York street only official vehicle will be allowed to travel between 8.15 hrs to 12 hrs
