3 ,333 dengue patients have been identified positive throughout the country, the Health Ministry said.
In Colombo District with 1,316 people affected took the first place, second place was taken by Gampaha District, where 640 people reported positive, officials said yesterday. The Jaffna district recorded 137 positive cases being in the third place, fourth place goes to Kandy with 133 people, and other districts come thereafter said, National Dengue Eradication Unit Director Dr. M.Thawfeek said.
If Dengue fever continues over two days, it may cause death.
