Vithya’s Rape and Murder Case in Kayts Court Today

The 13 year old girl was raped and murdered in May 2015, when she was returning home from school at Kayts.Ten suspects were arrested over the incident.

The ten suspects involved in the rape and murder of a girl in Kayts, Jaffna will be produced before the Kayts Magistrate’s Court today.A report on the suspect’s blood samples is expected to be tabled in Court today.

Several bail applications made by the suspects were rejected by the Magistrate pending the report on their blood samples.

The Criminal Investigations Department and the police are conducting further investigations.
