Gnanasara Thera in Homagama Magistrates Court Today

The General Secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena organization Galagodaththe Gnanasara Thera arrested on charges of Contempt of Court and remanded will be produced before the Homagama Magistrates Court today 09.02.2016.

However, the remand of the Thera has disturbed the members of the Bodu Bala Sena organization and several individuals. They engaged in a protest within the Homagama Magistrate’s Court complex leading to a tense situation. Security was beefed up in and around the Homagama area following the unruly behavior of several persons.

Police arrested four others on charges of unruly behavior. Police said the four persons arrested will be produced before an identification parade today.
