The SLFP has decided to cal fresh applications for contesting forthcoming local government election. This new move is to avoid applicants loyal to Rajapakshe being given nomination to contest under proposed new party by the joint opposition
Already 14000 applications have been received to contest the election.
The SLFP decided to publish News paper advertisement and through Party organizers to call for fresh applications next week.
