Showers in Several Places in Srilanka Today

Press release from meteorology Department reads thus :

“Several spells of showers will occur in the Northern, North-central, Eastern and Uva provinces and in Hambantota district.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts after 4.00 pm.

Misty conditions are expected particularly in the hilly areas and in the south-western part of the island during the morning.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity”.
