COPE Report on Important Institutions in May 2016- Sunil Handunetti
First time in Srilanka, an opposition Member of Parliament was appointed as Chairman of Committee On Public Enterprises (COPE) under Good Governance.
Sunil Handunetti, MP was appointed as Chairman of COPE. He is from the opposition and representing JVP in Parliament. Opposition is always critical of government activities and specially J.V.P is very strong in their expression.
COPE Chairman , Sunil said that reports on very important four Institutions will be submitted separately to Parliament in May 2016. Four Institutions are:
CEB
Srilankan Airlines
Raknalanka and
Central Bank.
All above four Institutions came under attack by opposition in the recent past. Now the report compiled by the COPE is led by Sunil Handunette, JVP Member of Parliament, Public is eagerly awaiting to know the contents of COPE reports.
