Number of vehicles registration in February 2016 have dropped by 50 percent, in comparison with February in the year 2015.
Commissioner of Motor Traffic, Jagath Jagath Chandrasiri said, while 4138 vehicles were registered in the month of February last year, the numbers have dropped by half in February this year.
Reasons for the drop in vehicle registrations was due to the increase of vehicle prices and taxes.
