Joint Opposition’s letter to Inter-Parliamentary Union
Yesterday (31st) a letter pointing out the injustices it confronts in the parliament was handed over to Inter-Parliamentary Union General Secretary, Martin Chungong.
Instances of injustice referred to therein the letter includes, denial of leader of opposition post despite their majority in parliament and non allocation of sufficient time during parliamentary debates
Joint Opposition MPs Dinesh Gunawardhanak, Dullas Alahapperuma, C. B. Ratnayake, Mahinda Yapa Abeywardhana, Mahindananda Aluthgamagey, Bandula Gunawardhana,Weerakumara Dissanayake and Udaya Gammanpila as well as MP Pavitraa Vanniaarachchi have signed the letter.
